Lion Dance by China Pavilion
Embrace the vibrant and colourful Lion Dance performance that is a true celebration of Chinese culture and traditions. This traditional dance in Chinese culture and other Asian countries in which performers mimic a lion’s movements in a lion costume to bring good luck and fortune. The lion dance is usually performed during the Chinese New Year and other Chinese traditional, cultural and religious festivals. It may also be performed at important occasions such as business opening events, special celebrations or wedding ceremonies, or may be used to honour special guests by the Chinese communities.
Balinese kecak Dance by Indonesia Pavilion
Balinese dance is dynamic, angular and intensely expressive. Balinese dancers express the stories of dance-drama through the bodily gestures including gestures of fingers, hands, head and eyes. There is a great richness of dance forms and styles in Bali; and particularly notable are those ritualistic dance dramas which involve Rangda, the witch, and the great beast Barong. Most of dances in Bali are connected to Hindu rituals, such as the Sanghyang Dedari sacred dance than invoked hyang spirits that believed to possess the dancers in trance state during the performance.
Tinikling Dance by Philippines pavilion
Tinikling is a traditional Philippine folk dance which originated during the Spanish colonial era. The dance involves two people beating, tapping, and sliding bamboo poles on the ground and against each other in coordination with one or more dancers who step over and in between the poles in a dance.
Buchaechum by Korea pavilion
Buchaechum is a traditional form of Korean dance also called a fan dance, usually performed by groups of Korean female dancers. Koreans use this dance during many celebrations. Dancers use large fans painted with pink peony blossoms and display a show of dance. In the dance being performed, the dancers represent shaped images using the fans e.g. birds, flowers, butterflies and waves. They wear brightly coloured hanboks, the Korean traditional dress.
Kohn Dance by thailand pavilion
Kohn is the traditional Thai masked dance. In the past, it was only performed for the royal family. It is now performed outside of the royal court, however, it is still considered to be one of the highest art forms in Thailand. The performances are derived from the Thai epic, Ramakien, which is the Thai version of the Hindu Ramayana. Most of the dancers are men, and they play a number of different characters, including men, women, demons, and monkeys. In addition to masks, these performances are accompanied by narrators and a Thai piphat orchestra, which usually consists of percussion and wind instruments.

Joget is Malaysia’s most popular traditional dance. It is a lively dance with an upbeat tempo. Performed by couples who combine fast, graceful movements with playful humour, the Joget has its origins in Portuguese folk dance, which was introduced to Melaka during the era of the spice trade

They devote their time and passion to dance practice and passing on the unique traditions. These dancers have become Macau’s tourism ambassadors advocating local culture around and overseas.
Taiko Drum Ensemble by japan pavilion
Be entertained by a rhythmic medley of traditional and modern Japanese music. Using a broad range of Japanese percussion instruments, the performers ensemble taiko drumming, composed by members of the group and commissioned composers. The work is contemporary, often collaborations with other performing art mediums and draws influence from western art music, traditional music and sound design.
